Description
Attention is like a doorway that allows information to stream in and become part of our conscious awareness. Consequently, where and how we place our attention shapes our life experience and our understanding of ourselves.
Is this a bad news for those with ADHD? Luckily no, because we all have the ability to become curious about our attention and deepen our awareness. In this workshop we will discuss a mindfulness-based approach as a way to train attention, increase self-awareness and develop skills for self-regulation. Simple techniques derived from mindfulness will be demonstrated and we will discuss ways to make them ADHD-friendly.
Learn the basic facets of attention, understand mindfulness as a shift in attention and attitude that leads to increased awareness and new experiences of self, and practice simple mindfulness exercises that can be easily incorporated into daily activities.
